During normal years and in COVID times, CES presents unique issues for communicators. As the world's largest tech show, with some 2,000 exhibitors, getting seen and hear (literally and figuratively) is a chore. Even the Omicron-favaged 2022 show had 40,000 in-person attendees. On the other hand, the CES tips included in this article are useful for a slew of shows and events. PR News Online asked Mark Martin, former EVP, Technology of WE Communications and other sources on how to break through the noise.

Watch the calendar, be present, consider multiple audiences and formats, humanize the event, and have a purpose – a lot of research shows consumers want to do business with companies that address societal issues. Despite the procut-centric nature of CES, Martin says it's a great place "to remind customers and the market that you're not just about tech, but tech for good."
